Sleeved vests for toddlers?

My ust turned 2 year old has always worn button up vests. She's not worn them over the summer and we're potty training now and I'm thinking button vests aren't going to be practical for the autumn now!
All I've seen are the sleeveless thin vests in shops - what do you put them in when it's colder? I had assumed a short or long sleeved vest but do these exist? Or do they just wear a t shirt or long top underneath jumpers and other outfits now?

I assume - bog standard sleeveless vest, then long sleeve T-shirt. Add jumper or cardigan

I put ds in a t-shirt then with a jumper or cardi/zip up hoodie over the top. Long sleeve t-shirt underneath if it's very cold - I guess you can get thermals if you live somewhere very chilly or if she feels the cold.

The sleeveless thin vests and you layer their clothes like PPs have indicated.

Depending on how cold it is you can get them to wear tights under leggings/trousers/dresses. Or you can get them to wear leggings under dresses.

When it was snowing my 2 year old was typically wearing outside:

• vest
• long sleeve t-shirt
• jumper
• tights
• leggings
• socks
• puddlesuit
• winter coat
• wellies
• hat

The only part of her that was cold were her hands so we got her some gloves which she spent ages putting on......
