'That feeling down below' after birth...

Hey all,
I gave birth 3 weeks ago (vaginally) and I still have a heavy feeling in my vagina and bottom which makes walking feel so odd. It feels like my insides are going to fall out! Is this pelvic floor? Is this normal? If so, how long does it take to feel 'normallish' when standing up? Xxx

I don't remember when it changed - maybe three weeks or so? - but I do remember it used to come back if I did a lot of standing or carrying. I don't think women should be in bed for weeks, obviously, but I think women recovering from birth do need a fair bit of rest. And pelvic floor exercises...
