Nappy Free Baby - Am I Potty?

Hello,

My DD is six months old and I find myself less and less satisfied with nappies. I am thinking of going nappy free and was wondering if anyone had any advice or tips. DH is sceptical and would love to give him some idea of what other families have experienced.

Also - where can we get a small infant potty from?

Cheers!

Kat

supercat - what you need is information on 'elimination communication'.

I have a coupld of friends who do this, and it seems to work very well. One baby was totally dry at the age of 14 months due to elimination communication.

Scroll past the ad and there's a story about it. Might be a bit cold to do it now

good luck with this! I am not really brave enough to do full on EC but I do hold my ds (6mo) over the toilet when I know he's going to do a poo as a result it's been several weeks since I had to clean a dirty nappy, my mum is now thinking of trying it too since she's seen him in action LOL

Small potties are found at Boots and Tesco (apparantly)

I use the 'Baby Bjorn Little Potty' which I bought of Ebay.

My DD has been nappy free in the day time since being 5 months old and mainly in real pants since being a year old.

Still using backup cloth nappies at night, but we are toying with the idea of moving her to a bed and letting her sleep nappy free.
