At what age to go to a firework display?

So we are gearing ourselves up for the short days and dark nights ahead. We have a few things to look forward to in the run up to Christmas inc bonfire night...maybe!

Will it scare my littlies?. What age did you first take yours?

We took them to Halloween fireworks from when they were very small, I think definitely 2 and probably younger, it was fine.

Really depends on your child tbh. I took DD2 in a back carrier aged 2. She loved it. However a friend’s slightly older child had to be taken home crying.

I vaguely remember we had fireworks in the backgarden when my eldest child was 2. My youngest was still a baby then.

It was only when they were both about 6 and 4 we watched out first big display.

@Brokenfurnitureandroses thanks I didn't think anything of it until I read about some silent fireworks a farm was putting on for littlies and then I read something on internet about under fives often being frightened.

I think it really depends on the child . many years ago I took my children with my husband , youngest was 2 yrs . He hated , just screeched , so I brought him home and husband stayed with the older child . Be prepared to have to leave .
