Breastfeeding feeding mums who co sleep, how often does your LO wake to feed?

Do you feel like your LO wakes more often because you co sleep?

I don't anymore as my two are grown, but I did breastfeed and co-sleep: yes mine woke more frequently for certain. But usually it was a matter of turn them to the other side, latch and go back to sleep - so it was a lot less disruptive than the alternative, sitting in a nursing chair or resettling in a cot (I did that with my eldest).

I started co sleeping with a sidecar cot after the 4 month regression because DS point blank refused to go in a cot, he woke every 2 hours generally, although sometimes would do a 4 hour stretch but generally I could feed and doze. Around 8 months he just started to get more restless and was awake every hour and feeding was sometimes not getting him back to sleep so I would have to sit up and rock him then try and lie us both back down. I was losing my mind and felt like I was really disturbing him so we tried him in his cot on his own, I still fed him twice a night with dream feeds but all wake ups dad resettled, within a few days the wake ups started to decrease and now at 11 months he sleeps through in his own room. Co sleeping was right for us at 4 months but it was definitely the right time to stop for both of us xxx

I co-slept with two of my three kids - basically, they slept in between my arm and chest so I could feel them moving and I immediately breastfed them lying down. This way, they didn't even get the chance to cry, I could monitor them constantly and they went back to sleep immediately. My DH slept all night :)

I am currently co-sleeping and breastfeeding my 10 months old. It's working out great for us overnight, as I don't even wake up sometimes when he latches for a snack (I sleep with the top off to keep the buffet open). Yes, he still feeds in the night, but he doesn't wake properly either, just looks around for a boob half asleep, which half wakes me to plug him in if he is not successful in finding it himself.

We are BF and co-sleeping, he wakes probably twice at night to feed. No idea for how long as we both fall asleep quickly during Grin

He is 12 weeks, never thought we would but it’s worked really well for our family.

I did and I swear he learnt to find my breast and latch on without me waking up 😆

My 7 month old wakes once in the night (between about 11pm and 8am)

DD is coming up to 8 months and we have always co-slept. Depends on the night & whether she is teething but on average she wakes up around 2 times to feed - majority of the time it's a half asleep feed and back to bed for both of us. But there are occasions where she needs resettling.
