Baby falling over in cot

My 9 month can stand in his cot and absolutely loves to do so. But a couple of times recently he’s has some really nasty falls backwards where he has smacked his head on the other side of the cot, really hard.

I don’t think there is much I can do about this - I know cot bumpers are unsafe etc. But it’s so stressful and I’m genuinely worried he will hurt himself.

Do I just need to wait it out til he stops falling? Can I help him learn any skill which will stop this? I’m scared he will end up concussed at this rate.

Im not sure theres much you can do. He'll either get a bit better on his feet, or learn not to stand in his cot!
