Hi I have a 2 day old and we have been doing a bit of breast and ready made formula. My husband is doing the night and wants it easiest for him so we got some aptimal milk tablets and we have a perfect prep. Does anyone know if they work with the prep machine? Or best to use formula?

I honestly had no idea these milk tablets existed!! Just looked them up.
I would do a test run to see how quick the tablets dissolve in the hot shot as it's not a lot of water and you'll probably need the right amount of oz.
But tbh it doesn't take long/much to count 2/3 oz into the bottle.
It's when they start having like 7/8 oz you sometimes loose count 😂

I found them not long ago and was amazed Grin
Thank you will try that Smile

Not to be a party pooper but there are some safety concerns about the perfect prep machines, in general i think the nhs recommends against them. My midwife did when my first was born. The hot shot isn’t enough to kill any bacteria that can be found in the formula powder. She said it’s safer to make 2 bottles up at once and keep one in the fridge. There’s been some nasty tales of babies who have been made seriously ill as a result of the prep machines. Just mentioning in case you don’t know/ hadn’t heard x
