Anyone else suffering the woes of a feisty “threenager”? Happy and sweet one moment, clawed hands and a pitchfork tail the next?? 😄

I feel like I’m walking on eggshells, every day, with my little girl (and as a stay at home mum, days can be a little overbearing!!)

Please share your stories; funny or not so! Tips, advice etc Reassure me I’m not the only mother, out there, slowly going insane and thinking the three’s are so much more difficult than the two’s? 😄

I've got a 2yo abs 3yo and yep, the 3yo is much harder! Especially over the last couple of weeks.
Yesterday he was upset with me and shouted at me "IM NEVER GOING TO EAT MY BREAKFAST AGAIN!!!!!"
Ok buddy. You do you!

@noonetoblamebutmyselfandpizza think I’ve just jinxed this morning DD is in a foul mood; two meltdowns already before 9am!!

“You do you”! Love this 😄

I have a 3 year old and it's been much harder than when he was 2. In fact we are now at our wits ends and started reading books about raising nice children - for us a sure sign that we're struggling. DH thinks there is something actually wrong with him, I just think/hope he is being a 3year old. It's hard though, very very hard

@Jenu294 Two before 9am! Do you think she's getting them out of the way now so that you can have a nice day together.....? Haha

I say "you do you" because breakfast is his favourite meal, so he's only upsetting himself!

So far today he didn't want to come out of his room, then he hurt his foot and I gave him a cuddle, it was all fine until he saw his dad downstairs and burst into tears because he hurt his foot. It was one of those fake cries as well.

And he got a cuddle.

@ghgEHND oh I feel your pain I really do and I’ve also wondered if there’s something wrong? But I think we’re all just tending with very strong minded, intelligent toddlers? 😄

I read books all the time, my latest is called Listen by Patty Wipfler - as I’m slowly reading there are testimonies from many parents in the same predicament (which is reassuring somewhat ha!)

But yea I agree, three is much harder than two!

@noonetoblamebutmyselfandpizza Oh I wish! That would’ve been nice but no today she’s been that way turned out 😕

DD has had a toilet accident, I’ve had broccoli thrown in my face and just constant screaming and defiance all day long. I’m exhausted, wrung out…. Praying for a better day tomorrow though.

Aww fake cries and cuddles…. Can’t beat ‘em! 😄 Fake cries crack me up (which annoys my DD even more!)

Tonight he said to his little sister "you're stupid and I don't like you"
It's the first time he's said something like that and I explained why not to say it, hurts peoples feelings, isn't kind blah blah. Told him to apologise etc

He then proceeded to launch himself at the floor and bang his head and shout "mummy I've hurt my feelings cries for ten minutes

When will he be nice again?:(

Sorry you're having to go through this too, 🍷.
Broccoli thrown at your face?! You deserve wine/gin/whatever you fancy.
Hopefully she's asleep now?!

@noonetoblamebutmyselfandpizza yes broccoli of all things (but right after she had her toilet accident) so I’m thinking she was feeling a range of emotions? 😑 We put DD down for 6.30pm so that’s my saving Grace at the end of a hard day (sometimes wine too!!) 😄

Do you listen to Janet Lansbury’s podcast, Unruffled? I’ve already prepped myself this morning ha ha! But she did mention a few things; that we as parents need to lower our expectations of these little humans (they’re still babies essentially) and secondly they just have no ability to reason like us adults.

Anyway have a listen if you haven’t already. Hope your day is better for you! My DD has just woken up…..
