Night anxiety

Hi there, I'm just hoping for reassurance more than anything.. I suffered with what I used to call 'night doom' for a few weeks after DD was born, which did eventually settle. But since DD started nursery a few months back ( she's now 10Months) she's always getting ill and I've found the night doom coming back. We've had a particularly rough 2 weeks with illness and now my anxiety seems really bad, I'm anxious I won't sleep at night, yet I can't sleep because I'm anxious and over sensitive to ever noise she makes, constantly listening out for her. Please tell me this will get better! I'm exhausted x

Talk to your GP.
I am at the other side of things (menopause) but hormones wreak havoc in our bodies at different times in our lives. I have night anxiety now and I remember it well too from when my DC were babies.

Oh gosh, this resonates so much! I had this when my DS, now 8 months, was a poorly-sleeping newborn. It was awful, and I'm anticipating it coming back when I go back to work (anxiety about NEEDING to sleep causing inability to sleep). I used the Calm app, listening to their sleep meditations which really helped me clear my mind and nod off. Might be worth a try!

Great, thank you I'll take a look! Willing to try anything at this point! I'm glad I'm not the only one. It really is a horrid feeling Sad
