Dropping bottles

Hi all,
FTM just wondering when to drop bottles?
My lo is 8 months old, she has 4 bottles a day and she doesn't have night feeds anymore
Our routine has slightly changed as we are starting to drop to 2 naps a day, she has a bottle in the morning with her breakfast around 7am, her next feed at 11am (ish) she has food with bottle and then she has a bottle before she goes down for her afternoon nap and then her dinner when she wakes up and a bottle before bed.

I'm not entirely sure when I'm meant to be dropping bottles?
I've read its usually the lunchtime bottle that is dropped first, at what age am I meant to do this? And when do I then drop the rest of the bottles one by one?

Their milk consumption would generally only start to decline after 1. Food before 1 is just for fun.

Do you mean bottles as in reducing milk, or bottles as in switching to milk in a non-spill cup instead?

I used to follow the guide on the side of the formula tub when my 4yo was a baby.
I think they have less bottles but higher volume eventually.
I'm pretty sure it was one of the daytime feeds we dropped first. Bedtime was last to go

My 10 month old is still on 4 a day so don't pressure yourself to drop them. If they don't want it they won't drink it but it can be very varied as to how much they take at this age and they may even go through a stage of dropping and then needing more again.

By 12 months my DD was on an evening bottle only - when she tuned 1 I switched from formula in a bottle to cows milk in a cup. From about 9.5 months she only had bottles morning and evening, then 10.5 months evening only. HTH.

My 9mo has just dropped from 5-4 and we've rijigged her bottle times accordingly. She's starting to leave an ounce of her mid morning and afternoon ones too so I'll probably switch to a snack for one of those in the next month too.

With DS I thought he was never going to drop a bottle but was down to wake up and bedtime by about 11 months.

My 10 month old is still on 4 bottles a day, although she generally takes less, used to take 7oz now usually only takes 4-5oz at lunch time and dinner time, so her overall milk consumption has gone down. Just keep
Offering them and they will let you know when they don’t want it.

I dropped a bottle when we dropped from
3 naps to 3. He still gets about 700ml of formula from those three bottles. They’re bigger, less frequent feeds.
He has approx 200ml when he wakes up, no bottle before first nap, approx 200ml before second nap and 300ml bottle before bed. Between that is breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Any milk leftover from first bottle gets added to breakfast, so with porridge or weetabix. Any leftover from second bottle can be warmed up and offered as a drink along with his tea (provided it hasn’t been too long since it was first made).

Sorry that should say 3 naps to 2!
