Hello, hello!

I are in discussions around trying for baby number 2!

What age gaps do you all have? We are debating whether to start trying now, or to wait a year or so!

Our DD is currently 22 months 🥰

I preferred the closer age gaps as going back to the running on adrenaline from lack of sleep days was harder after I had gotten away from it. Plus if you try now with a few years age gap they will be in school together for some of it.

My two are 2years 4 months apart.
So fairly close together.

There’s no perfect gap! I do think it’s quite nice to have a baby when your oldest is in reception so get a bit of one on one time with the baby.

I'm from a family of a big mixture of age gaps, so seen it in that respect! There is 6 years between me and my brother, then 10 years between my youngest sister and my middle brother!

21 years between me and my youngest sibling 🤣

I know there is no perfect gap.. but I was thinking that if we had another sooner, then my first born may be more accepting as she won't be accustomed to the only child life as much!

Or maybe I'm just spouting rubbish haha!

I've got 3 years. It's been great so far - DS is very independent and adores his baby sister.

Also surely it depends what you can afford - I have a 6month old! Dying for another one - but I can’t afford to until this little one goes to school! So that’s what has to happen unfortunately as I can’t afford 2 in childcare

Baby 1 born 2011
Baby 2 born 2013 (20 months gap)
Baby 3 born 2021 (10 years and 8 years gap)

I found having 20 months between my first 2 tiring but amazing. They kept each other company and are still very close now. I'm also enjoying the larger gap now because my older ones are very independent and helpful with their baby brother.
