What time does bedtime routine start?

Is she over tired?
Time for a bed if she can climb out of cot and a gate on her door…

9.30 is quite late for bedtime.

If her bedtime isn’t til 9:30 I expect she’s overtired.

Age 2 we stopped all daytime naps and it worked wonders, stopped the long drawn out bedtime. Asleep by 7.30pm and slept until 5am. Dropping naps is hard if you are already exhausted though but worth a try.

I'd say reduce daytime naps and an earlier bedtime.

Echo the above comment re her own bed. You might find she sleeps better because of this too.

I wonder if she is overtired? My 2 year old is in bed between 6.30-7, and sleeps until around 7am.

What’s her day like usually? Does she do a lot in the day? My kid is at nursery and tired when he comes home as they’re in the go all day. He has a nap of about an hour after his lunch, but no late naps allowed.

It may be you need to look at her day and then the bedtime routine.

We tried cry it out (not for everyone) last year and that’s how we got him to self settle.

Our DC is 14.5m and has one 45-90 minute nap in the day and sleeps in a bed with a bed guard thing. Does a solid 12 hours at night 6:45-7pm straight through unless he’s got a cough. He hated being confined to the cot and sleeps much better knowing he can leave whenever he wants. I doubt we’ll have any naps at 2, sleeping isn’t his thing 😂🤷🏽‍♀️

I also think over tired. Is she just 2 or nearly 3? There's a big difference when it comes to sleep.
DS is nearly 2 - he has a 1.5hr nap around 11:30am and then is in bed by 7-7:30. Even when it's 7:30 he can take twice as long to go to sleep and is wild & naughty. I dread to think what he would be like by 9:30pm
