Hi so I have an almost 2 year old and I have concerns about ASD,so here we go
Good things:Great eye contact, seeking attention, trying to copy what we do,responding to name, loves children, no problems eating, sleeping, changing routine ,fallows simple instructions like come to mummy, give me a kiss,hi5,no,stop etc.
Worries:Doesn't speak, just bubbles and says mummy
If asked Doesn't show who I am or who my DH is
Doesn't point
Doesn't understand more complex comands
Sometime I'm under the impression he doesn't know who we are is not bothered if we are gone or if we leave him with someone else.
Sometime I think he doesn't understand speech,(I might be wrong and he just ignores us)
Hand flapps when really happy but just a few times a day and can be distracted easily.
I just also want to add that from when he was 1 he watched lots of TV and we didn't interact with him as I was working from home and had no help so I just let him watch loads of TV .We have turned it off for about a month and I see loads of improvement.
Just starred nursery,he loves it,he loves his brother but doesn't really play with him.
So I am asking if your child did this and it was NT or diagnosed with ASD?Thank you!

First thing to do is ask your GP for a referral for a hearing test, and then to speech and language.

Have you tried doing a screening check? www.autismspeaks.org/screen-your-child
