From 12 months it’s ok to switch. Cows milk is so much cheaper and convenient so I don’t see the point of staying on formula. Some babies will be happy to swap straight over. Others, like my DD, will be more fussy. She usually had 7 ounces before bed so we made a 5oz bottle, then topped up with 2oz cows milk, then increased the ratio over a couple of weeks. Then once she was happy with the cows milk we swapped from a bottle to a sippy cup. I think she lost interest in the bedtime milk altogether at about 16 months.

We've introduced it gradually mixed with formula but just started giving her a cup of milk in a munchkin trainer cup and she's taken well to that. She's on 3 bottles a day morning lunch and bed so I'm going to swap the morning and lunch for a cup of milk then keep bedtime a bottle for now. My DD didn't seem to mind the swap at all.

We let the formula run out then swapped to cows milk. Dont overthink it.
