Unsettled baby and own room

My son is coming up to 6 months and we’d like to start him sleeping in his own room when he’s old enough, but he’s still having several wake ups a night. He’s never hungry and doesn’t take a feed (formula fed) but has had a particularly longwinded 4 month sleep regression that we’re still coming out of.

If your baby is still unsettled in the night did you put them in their own room and keep going in to resettle or accept they’d need to sleep in your room for a bit longer to make it more convenient for you?

Hmmmm not quite same situation but when my DD was around 4/5 months we started transitioning her to her own room by doing all naps in there gradually. She took to her own room fabulously and I think she liked the space of the cot as she spends most of her sleeping hours rolling up and down it. 😂

We too suffered the 4m regression (and the 8-10 month one) but found it didn't make much difference in settling her whether it was our room or hers x

We actually found that our DD’s night wakings were partly due to being in our room in her smaller crib and not being able to get comfy, when we moved her to her own room at 6 months (because she’d started pulling herself up in her crib) she slept much better with more space to roll about in her cotbed x
