Hi,

My baby boy almost 12 months. I'm a first time mum.

Recently he has started to dislike nappy changes. Sometimes he will try to cover his genitals with his hands or he will pull down his vest to try to cover himself.

He also does this in the bath. He pushes the wash cloth away when I try to wash him down there.

I'm always gentle with him. He doesn't have nappy rash or any problem like that.

He is a very happy, content baby in every other way. Has anyone experienced anything similar with their baby?

Hes not trying to cover himself up from view, he isn't old enough to understand that you have a "viewpoint" and are looking at him

Maybe he doesn't like to feel cold or draughty?

Agree that it isn't about him trying to "cover" anything and is most likely a sensory related thing as the previous poster has described. I wouldn't give it a second's more thought tbh, it's nothing at all to be considering.
