Newborn rash

My three week old seems to have baby acne/milk spots according to the gp. It looks different at different times of the day. Sometimes her skin clears up completely, sometimes she wakes up and I can see red and white spots all over her face. Does anyone else’s kid have this? I feel worried everyday. Photo attached

My baby did for the first 6 weeks. Their skin heals so quickly it could come up in the morning and be gone by the evening. I even took her to the gp for it once if you're ever worried do the glass test to check it blanches and check temp. It should pass after a few weeks :)

Thank you Fleetwood, I did the glass test and checked temp too which was fine. Did it go away on its own or did you put a moisturiser? I’ve been wiping her face clean twice a day and then putting the Aveeno moisturiser

I didn't put any moisturiser on her, I just gave her a daily bath with the aveeno baby bath stuff and made sure all her clothes were washed with non bio stuff and was just nice plain cotton (she used to get it on her chest). When it was really bad I would put breastmilk on it as it has healing properties, but don't worry if you're not bf I would imagine it would just go away on it's own 😀

It's just a little baby acne, it will go away dnt worry about it x

It's just baby acne you don't need to do anything with it, it will go away in its own and causes them no harm or distress

Zozomum89 · 17/08/2021 23:03

Thank you, that’s reassuring

Looks like baby acne. Mines had it and sometimes it would be worse than others. Cleared up in it's own and never returned. Can't remember at how many weeks it went away but it doesn't last particularly long.

Thank you Peach, hoping it goes away soon.
