Wits end with rolling baby!

I know this sounds mad and my husband insists I need to just accept that babies wake all the time at night but I'm looking for any suggestions. My son is 11 months and was a great night sleeper until recently.

He's always struggled with rolling and doesn't sit up from lying down yet. He can shuffle and do a gollum style crawl if I sit him up. Also he can pull up to stand from sitting. He's just started rolling onto his front at night and screaming madly. It was once a night at the start now it can be every hour! It's driving us mad and I'm back to work soon. Can't imagine how I'll do a day with so little sleep. I had PPD and have been feeling better but it's starting to creep in again with the sleeplessness.

Leaving and watching him to try and roll ends in just more screaming. I've tried tummy time in the day to just more screaming. Does anyone have any magical advice about teaching him to roll? Or just fight on with small bursts of tummy time and hope for the best?
He is quite stubborn and only started crawling when I pretended to be out of the room and 'couldn't hear him' shouting for toys. Not too keen to try this with tummy time.

Hi does your LO sleep in a sleeping bag? My 6mo has started to roll over but luckily he can't roll in a sleeping bag (I think they're designed this way) so he stays on his back comfortably all night. May be worth a try if he doesn't sleep in one already 😊 X

Hia Ellie, he does but now I think of it this might have started when we bought his new big sleeping bag! The old one is snug but not too small. I'll try it tonight. Good idea :)
