As above really. Crying episodes constantly this morning it's because I wouldn't let him use my leg as a table, despite a perfectly good table being available next to me. Yesterday because he dropped his folk, its literally over anything the tiniest thing and crying episodes clinging onto my leg and it seems to be almost every hour. I assume this is possible normal tantrum behaviour, speach it a bit delayed but I've had enough. I'm struggling to enjoy anytime with him because it just turns into a crying fit. It's almost like being back in the newborn phase

It’s a phase. A horrible phase. Have you checked for signs of illness? Is there anyway you can get a break from him?

Annon12345 · 17/08/2021 11:28

No signs of illness that I can tell, been like it for a couple of weeks. Eating and sleeping well so I thought maybe growth spurt type thing but yeah it's just frustrating. Did get a night out with a friend last night for a quick drink thankfully to escape

@Annon12345 you need to learn to block the noise out. I just walk away so I can't hear the noise. It is a phase, just ignore and stick to your guns. He can't get what he wants, it will pass.

Another thing we do is breathe...in through your nose and out through your mouth. Incredibly my son really likes doing this and it helps massively. Sometimes he asks when he's crying. I need to breathe and then I have to talk him through it. 🤣

Thank you both! Helpful tips I'll try and use, while also repeating its a phrase lol!

Could of written this myself!

It's a horrible phase, we are in it too along with friends who have kids the same age.
