Six month old only wants 2 naps?

Hi there my 6 month old seems to only want 2 naps. She's started sleeping so much better recently.

At night she will sleep from 630 till 1am, wake for feed then sleep till 7.
I then put her down for a nap about 9.15 for 45 mins. Next nap about 12.30 and she will sleep (with a few short wake ups) till 2.30. This is great! But means when I come to put her down at 4.30 for a final nap there is zero interest. I take her for a walk now at 4.30 with the pram top down to try and get her to drift off but no cigar!
I've moved her bedtime to 6.30 from 7 to factor this in...but should I be persevering with the final nap? Does she need it? 4 hours straight awake seems very long but she doesn't see. Totally frazzled come 630.
Hmmm.

2 naps at 6 months is pretty normal. Both mine were down to 1 nap a day by 9 months.

why would you try and put her down for a third nap? She is sleeping a huge amount, she doesn't need any more

Totally normal op xx

Mine had 2 aswell at this age. Like someone else has said she is sleeping a lot. When mine got groggy at that time I'd do quiet time where I'd put the tv on or put them in their cot with a few toys

Thanks all! Just wanted to check in case I should be trying harder for a third...so much conflicting advice out there! If she's tired I'll put her for a nap otherwise 2 if good for both of us! :-)

My baby naturally dropped the third nap around 6/7 months, I think that's normal. He didn't need to sleep in the afternoon but I would go for a walk with the pram or a drive, just something chilled out. Sounds like what you're doing is right to me! Dropping from two naps to one was more annoying! He did that around 12 months which I thought was early but still slept through the night 7-7 so it was fine. Occasionally still has a monster 3.5 hour nap in the middle of the day at 16 months.
