Nappy recommendations

Hi, my baby currently has bad diarrohea following a failed lactose challenge. He's leaking through his nappies almost every time he poops because it's so watery! I currently use Aldi Mamia and the Mamia premium ones aswell which have been fine until now but they're clearly not good for stool leakage.

Can anyone recommend the best nappies to prevent stool blowout/leakage please?

I always say Naty Nappies, they are fab.

Opalfeet · 15/08/2021 16:25

Sainsbury's have been good for us. Although I'm not sure any nappies will be able to protect against diarroeh reliably

IME, short of duct tape there is no nappy that can keep wet baby poo contained.

I really struggled with DS as a newborn because he used to poo after every feed and it often was explosive. Some brands did better at the waist, it went down his legs. Some were better at the legs and it went up his back. Blush

The only ones that will contain it are reusables because they have elastic at the back, none of the disposables will do the job.

They're all the same, so go with cheapest. The important thing is to get one big enough. People always leave babies in smaller sizes than they should be in.

Can you get a reusable wrap www.thenappylady.co.uk/nappy-wraps.html and put over the nappy? I guess you'd want super fast postage...

Thank you for your suggestions I'm going to look at the nappy wraps to go over the top of his disposables xx

My dd always leaked through the aldi ones, mostly size 3 weirdly. Also leaked with pampers. Sainsburys didn't leak buy are quite frilly round the edge and also let out a wee smell even after just one wee.
However Fred and flo from tescos have been fantastic, no leaks or smell. And cheap!

Came on to say a reuseable over the top of the disposable nappy

@Fleetw00d yes he's in a size 3! Strange isn't it.. but then again it is very watery diarreah and it's full of mucus ☹️ they said it's because the lactose would have inflamed his bowel so it needs to settle down but it's been over 3 weeks now and showing no signs of slowing down, I'm starting to really worry!

@FirstTimeMommy2021 ohh hope he feels better soon!! So horrid when they're poorly.
So weird about the nappies, I started another thread a while ago and quite a few people said the size 3 aldi nappies were known for leaking but every other size ok!

edin16 · 16/08/2021 22:06

Third the advice of getting a reusable wrap over the top. There's a couple of Facebook selling sites that you could ask on?

Namechangesagain · 16/08/2021 22:10

I swear by rascal and friends nappies. only available from tesco but never had a leak and have also had some horrendous cmpa nappies!!

boringcreation · 17/08/2021 08:27

My DS was on the comfort formula so every dirty nappy leaked until we switched to nappy pants instead of the ones with the velcro. We use Pampers nappy pants, not sure if any other brand do them tbh but they're a lifesaver!!

Babydust13 · 17/08/2021 09:12

We use Tesco's Fred and Flo nappies we tried pampers first but they leaked
