He's bum shuffling so getting himself about. My dd walked around on her knees for ages. Grin.

I don't think I'd worry too much at the moment - they're all different. Have a word with your HV if you're concerned.

Your son might be hyper mobile but I wouldn’t start worrying just yet. My mother said I didn’t walk till I was 2 - but I was full of conversation.

My dd couldn't stand by herself till 15 months. One day she just stood herself up. Walked a week or two later.
13 months is still really young, try not to worry. Does he stand holding on to furniture?

Neither of my DSs walked until about 15 months. From memory up to 18 months is within the normal range. Someone said to me ‘they can’t learn it all at once…some focus on babbling, some on walking, some on other forms of play’.

That's normal, walking isn't a 1 year milestone, they should do it by 18 months :)

I wouldn't worry, my eldest was 14 months before she started standing and took first steps.

The key thing is, can he weight bear? In other words, when you hold him by his torso, does he put his feet down (he doesn't need to be standing unaided) or does he lift them up?

If he is not weight bearing at 13mo then I would seek support from HV or GP. But if he is then it's fine, he is getting about and bum shufflers are often later walkers. Not that 13mo is a late walker, the average is 15mo.

My dd at 12 months only just crawling. .walking about 17-18 months. Some babies never crawl. she's very good at dance and cheer now. Don't worry!
