New nursery issue

Our son is due to start pre-school private nursery at the start of the Autum term which is 23rd August according to their info. However I've been told thar our son won't start until 31st as they take the existing children back first. I assumed we'd then pay a little less but no .... we've been invoiced the full amount & when I queried it was told it was right. AIBU to think that's not really ok? Thanks!

That does sound a bit off. I wouldn't expect to pay for a service if not received.

Thanks.... that's what I think too but don't want to kick up a fuss before DS has even begun. What I'd rather as well is that he starts on the earlier date .... it's been a long summer!!!
