Grandparents have gifted 19 mo DD with £100 (long story short, we have been NC up until this point so they want to treat her). What would you buy?

Play kitchen or scooter/helmet.

I’d put the majority of it in a bank account TBH, and buy her something she needs.

Save it.

I'd save half and put half towards a day trip somewhere. My 4yo and 18mo are loving days out now that restrictions have lifted but everywhere is so blooming expensive to get into!

A pickler triangle type thing? Pom Pom do discounts on theirs from time to time if you sign up to emails.

MyFloorIsLava · 14/08/2021 08:17

Keep it aside for shoes.

I'd use some of it to buy a play kitchen. Mine still play with theirs and they're three and four.

Nothing. Save the money. She will need it more at 19 years than she does at 19 months

AustinPowerful · 14/08/2021 08:36

Scooter
Play kitchen
Garden play stuff- little slide, ply frame, trampoline, watering can and tools?
Trike
Duplo
A block of toddler classes or activities- swimming, tumble tots or something like that?
Pass to a local soft play or place of interest- might be handy on rainy days?

Save it up for a decent balance bike for when she's a bit older (frog, islabike etc)

crochetandcoffeebreaks · 14/08/2021 13:48

I did think about saving it but my parents are insistent on buying something with it, one thing that drives me mad is it's because they can 'show' people what they got her. I think I'll save half of it at at least. I do like the idea of a play kitchen and a trike, thanks for the suggestions :)
@MyFloorIsLava I'm sure the half put away will inevitably end up going towards shoes Grin
