8 week old sick after feeds

Hi all,

I’m so confused and wondered if anyone could help. This will be long, sorry..

My son is 8 weeks old, bottle fed, was initially very uncomfortable after feeds and barely slept during the night, so I tried a lactose free milk (aptamil) but this made him so constipated and he was in so much pain. So I tried Kendamil Lactose Free (my 1 year old has Kendamil and it was a savior) and he is so settled and happy on this, only wakes once during the night, BUT, he brings up milk several times after every feed. His poo is also very runny and dark green.

I wouldn’t say his symptoms are so severe that it’s reflux, but I don’t think the sick is normal? It’s not forced, it’s not projectile, it’s just constant throughout the day.

So do I just persevere with this as he’s happy, or is there something wrong?

Please help this bedraggled mother 😫

Sounds like cmpa to me. Ask for neocate

Bringing up milk isn't necessarily a problem if putting on weight OK, but the dark green poo doesn't sound entirely normal - maybe check with health visitor or GP? My little one was always being sick as a baby but it didn't bother him and he kept putting on weight OK so we never did much about it. His poo was normal though as far as I can remember! Hope it settles down x

@Tablow Yeah I did consider this, but I’m not sure he has enough symptoms?

@Fieldings15 He’s a big boy, no problem putting on weight at all! I’m not used to a sicky baby so I just don’t know what normal. Thank you x
