Using gift card vouchers on Uniform?

Out of the blue I got 2 vouchers from my local council. One is for £20 and one is for £50. They are both from Tesco.
I get my food from the local Lidl as it works out cheaper for us.

Do you think it's ok to spend the gift card to get £70 worth of school uniform for.my daughter? She moving up to next year and needs all new clothing.

I should add that the nearest Tesco is 49 minutes by bus which is why we don't shop there often.

That's good. I didn't want to get to checkout and she say I can't use them. :)
