CMPA and weaning

My DD is 6 month and I’m looking into weaning her soon but she has confirmed CMPA. Does anyone know if I was to buy baby snacks/pouches etc and the ingredients state ‘May contain milk’ do I need to exclude these as well? I don’t plan to give her these just yet but looking for advice for the near future. We do have a dietician but they aren’t contacting me till she is 8 months and I have no way of contacting them.

May contain is exactly that. Many of the foods will contain small amounts of milk and others large amounts. It depends on your baby. Are they bf or ff?

My DS has CMPA and the advice we had from The dietician was that the “may contain milk” was a disclaimer added by manufacturers but not legally required, and that as any food has the potential for cross contamination (unless produced in a strictly milk free environment) that these foods were fine to include.
Some foods seem to have a higher risk of cross contamination than others and affect some people more than others, so it can be a bit of a lottery. She also advised us to introduce one food at a time as CMPA can make them more likely to react to other foods, and it can be really hard to work out what the problem is if they suddenly eat a lot of new foods!
Equally she advised not to jump to come conclusions that any sign of a reaction meant an allergy as sometimes it’s just their little bodies getting used to things.
I was feeding weaning but it actually went ok with very little issues (though we still have to crack the milk ladder)
