HELP! 4 month sleep regression

Darcie will go down for a nap but will only have 20-30 minutes max at the moment and she wakes up miserable. If I let her do this throughout the day, she becomes so overtired and we have a melt down at about 3/4ish.
If she sleeps on me, she will sleep for 1 hour+.

Do you think if I put her down for a nap, and then if she only sleeps for a small amount of time picking her up and letting her have longer on me is creating bad habits? Or will she eventually just stay longer in bed?

She is 16 weeks on Thursday so I think it’s her 4 month sleep regression starting but at the moment it hasn’t affected her bed time sleep at all. I’m able to put her down between 7.30-8.30 at night and she’ll sleep through with only a little stir sometimes to put her white noise back on or her dummy back in.

Thank you in advance - any advice is highly appreciated 💗

My baby contact napped for all naps until about 7 months, when he started to accept being in the cot. Tbh, I’m in favour of doing what works when it comes to sleep. If you’re happy to let her nap on you and she has better days as a result, I would just do it.

I listened to podcasts or audiobooks, or I would get him asleep on me in my bed and then roll him down beside me so I could nap too. It was quite a nice time really.
