Youngest starting school

It’s cliche but she starts school next week and it’s just really sank in for me that she’s really growing up. I thought I’d be fine but I feel quite sad and it’s strange as I have looked forward to this for so long!

My other child is 5 years older so I know how fast they grow up when they start and I’m just feeling really uneasy and that I’m losing a part of myself as a mum.

I went back to work full time 6 months ago in preparation for her starting school and whilst I enjoy it, I’ve really found myself longing for those days together which I know are now definitely over.

I find myself wanting to do it all over again and have another baby even though I categorically had no plans of having another. She was an extremely bad sleeper/difficult baby and it’s only in the last year I’ve started to feel like me again.

Tell me this is normal and will pass when she’s started and we’ve all settled into our new routine.
