I always assume me and my little boy are really close, he’s 16 months, he was born at the start of lockdown in March 2020, for months and months me and him (and his dad) were all each other had. He’s such an affectionate kid and gives kisses and cuddles and really genuinely seems to love me most of the time.
However Tuesday to Friday he goes to a mixture of grandparents / nursery. He goes quite happily to all these places in the morning. If I pick him up from nursery he seems very happy to see me, but if my boyfriend picks him up and brings him home to me, he literally couldn’t care less about me. Tonight he actually looked annoyed at me and started doing this weird head shake and turned away from me! I tried talking to him and nothing, he wouldn’t look me in the eyes, he would talk, he wouldn’t even come near me! I left the room for about half an hour (working from home) and when I came back in he was absolutely fine with me!
I just find it quite sad that he’s not happy to see me! Does anyone else’s toddler do this?
