Tips for long car journey

Going on a long car journey (6hours plus) with my 14 month old soon. Any tips on how to entertain her?
I'm also worried as she only ever naps for about 20 mins in the car and naps in cot are normally an hour +
Don't know of there is anything I could do to extend her nap, like making the car darker somehow?
TIA x

Could you do the drive at bedtime? That's what we usually do on car journeys, leave about 6ish play music and when that young would normally fall to sleep. Now they are a bit older (4,2) we usually break up the journey and stop off somewhere for a few hours. Whilst driving, lots of music, you can buy car activity trays in Tesco that you can put toys / colouring books on (you'd probably need to sit in the back though) and as it's a one off a bit more screen time than usual. The peppa pig game is a big hit in our house.

Screens. We don't use them at home or restaurants before anyone jumps down my throat. But I download cartoons on an old phone (no Wifi or 4g required then) and I let them watch as much as they want.
Snacks and. Ursery rhyme cds to listen to too!

I now opt to do long journeys setting off at bedtime whenever possible as it's just easier. Less traffic and less need for stops mean the journey is a lot quicker.

When we have done long daytime journeys I plan a good lunch stop with a good cafe, good green space to run around and clean toilets with good baby changing to make an enjoyable and relaxing break.

Our most traveled long journey is 6 hours in the day and we've never needed to stop more than the one longish lunch stop.

Travel overnight. Kids do eventually fall asleep and ours used to wake about 6. Nursery rhythm cd. If seat has a tray you can clip on little puzzle, picture books, Duplo etc.
