Anyone else?

2 DC. Both have their own issues but nothing out of the ordinary. But fuck me I'm so worn down! Just cleared up the unholy mess after dinner. I hate eating because I just hate the cleaning up of the floor, walls, highchairs etc afterwards..the constant narration. Planning every day around sleep and naps.

I have a v good friend, we've been friends for 10 months. In that time she has had 4 nights off with her DH and has a weekend away planned next month. We've no parental support and have tried a babysitter and it went terribly.

I know this is nothing out of the ordinary but God I'm so done with it all today.

You're not alone. I've not had a night off since Covid and am shattered. DD2.11. Just want a moment not being "needed"

Yes that's exactly it

How old are the DC? It was hard in the early days when mine were younger. It was all bottles, naps and nappies. And crying. My eldest cried non stop as a baby. They are 6 and 8 now and it is much, much easier.

I only have one - 16 months - but I get you. I know so many people who have had babies since me who go out regularly with their partners or friends for proper nights out, weekends away, baby staying at relatives house for the night. My best friend’s baby stayed at her grandparents once a week every week from newborn - this is what I thought was normal😂 Baby has never been away from us overnight not once, not that I’d go out I’d just sleep😂
