dd is 6 months in at xmas and has started to get quite a few toys, i was thinking about putting a toybox in the living room so i can keep some downstairs and also be able to pack them away?

theresd one in argos that only 15 put don't think theres anything to spot little fingers getting trapped

mamas and papas also do quite nice ones around 100 quid but they close softly

anyone know of anywhere else worth a look ?
light wood or white if poss

is it best to get a good one as i imagine ill have it in living room for a good few years?

We bought a lovely pine storage box from Ikea (a few years back now though).
Could you try getting a second hand one and painting it to match the bedroom? That's what we did with DD's which is now pale lilac.
