Hi All, I am here to seek some advice. My son hates eating fruits in any form. He doesn't like juice, fruit pouches, cut fruits, whole fruits, fruits mixed with oats or muffins etc. Basically no fruits at all.
Initially I thought he will get over this and this is just another phase. I have been trying to offer him everyday, make him pick fruits from shop, cut fruits in front of him and even eat them to set an example.
But no positive results so far!!
Please help.

He doesn’t need to eat fruit if he eats veg. Make sure he gets enough veg and keep offering fruit but don’t stress over it. Fruit is not essential for a healthy diet.

Fresh home made milkshakes or smoothies?

Ninkanink · 10/08/2021 10:24

He really doesn’t need to eat fruit. Vegetables are much more important.

A few berries here and there would be good. But otherwise there is no need to stress over him having to eat fruit.

I did try smoothies and milkshakes a few weeks ago but he did not try them either. I will again try offering him soon. Thank you :)

Could try freezing smoothies into Ice lollies?

dancemom · 10/08/2021 10:48

Does he like biscuits, cake, sweets?

Sudhakar · 10/08/2021 11:11

@Wrongtime4baby, thank you, I will try Ice lollies.

What vegetables does he eat?

Sudhakar · 10/08/2021 16:21

@StopGo, he eats cucumbers, beans, carrots, cauliflower, brinjal, a few leafy vegetables and once in a while peppers. He eats all these in different forms.
I make curries using tomatoes and onions which he eats with rice.

@Sudhakar that's brilliant. I'd concentrate on offering him vegetables raw and cooked and not worry about fruit.
My DD has never liked fruit but eats loads of veg. She is 6' tall with beautiful teeth.

Thanks everyone. I will definitely concentrate on giving him more vegetables and worry less about his fruit intake.
Thanks again, much appreciated :)
