Is a cash register a suitable present for a boy?!

Reassure me - it's perfectly acceptable to buy a toy cash register as a present for a 3 year old boy, isn't it?! It's not too girly? I feel it's sexist to even ask that

Hallgerda and Nineunlikelytales, I guess you didn't see my post further on. I have no problem with it whatsoever and it's not about my son anyway. I was asking 'cos it was mentioned to me that others might find it girly and, as I was mystified by that suggestion, I wondered if anybody here felt that way. So I feel exactly the same as you about it but I think you just heard what you were expecting to hear when someone mentions gender-specific toys

Buda, no I don't think 6 is too old - they still enjoy role play at that age.
