Tablets for 4 year old

My just turned 4 year old wakes up early asking for food. Says he's hungry. I don't want to give him food at 430am. If I give him his tablet he will happily play on it for an hour or so, while I sleep next to him (we don't co sleep but he comes into my bed). I don't function well getting up at 430.

He eats lots in the daytime and is really active. We do lots of walking, swimming and exploring outside. I do give him supper before bed- am wondering if he needs more

Suggestions for how to get him off tablets in a way that still allows me to sleep till 6 if possible? Due to other circumstances- other children, health issues etc, I go to bed quite late and need my sleep so getting up with him every morning at 430-5 isn't an option. He shares a room so I can't easily send him back to his room he will wake sister.

The only way of keeping him quiet at 430am is giving him food or tablet.

I've tried sending him to bed later- not helped and he's always shattered by his 730pm bedtime. Ideas please?
