18 month old getting arms out of car seat straps

As title really. Does it both in the cybex sirona and axxkid move. Both as tight as they will go. Has anyone tried the Five Point Plus Anti-escape system? Need something to stop him but worried about it affecting the effectiveness of the car seat.

Thanks

Have you tried a belt collector? In car safety centre sell them. That looks like it might pull the shoulder straps wider although it should stop deliberate escaping might not help a narrow shouldered child in an accident.

Used this with my first DC in a Cybex Sirona. She was a very slender thing so could wriggle out quite easily, this was only defeated by us losing the thing (suspect she flung it out of the car on the way in). We bought another one which lasted until she was old enough to understand why she should not escape!

We've actually just got the cybex sirona becaus of this reason! She's 3 though and we are forward facing with the cushion which she can't get out of now. Was fed up of her hudini-img out of her seat on motorways!
