Help with 6 month old sleep

Hi, I've posted before about my baby only sleeping (day and night!) when held but he is now 6 months and no sign of it getting better! He has never fallen asleep whilst not being held and will not stay asleep if you put him down. I’ve tried various methods over the last six months and it still results in him waking and crying within minutes of being put down. I don’t want to do any cry it out methods but it’s getting to the stage where I am so sleep deprived and I think he is not comfy either. He wants to be off me and kicks himself off but when off me he cries and wants back on me, he’s confused and not getting quality sleep either as he tosses and turns. I’ve literally tried all I can think of, dark room, white noise, putting him down drowsy (also tried awake and fast asleep!), staying with him and comforting him, leaving him for a couple of minutes etc. We have a good bedtime routine and he doesn’t struggle to fall asleep at all, 2/3 naps a day totalling 3-4 hours, have a next to me cot he won’t go in and his cotbed in his nursery he won’t go near! Has anyone got any ideas of what I can try??

Sympathy. Mines nearly eight months and I’m trying Lucy Wolfe, but I’m frankly crap at it so hoping for some ideas Blush
