Hi all I'm a ftm and just wanting to know if other people are experiencing the same thing. My little 5 month old has begin to get really upset if I leave the room or am busy doing something for example on the phone. This has only recently started. Shes probably had less contact with others than I would have liked so far due to covid. She sees my mum every week and we usually visit at least one of my friends a week. Until summer holidays we were also doing 2 baby classes a week. My other half works monday to friday and does other work for some of the weekend.
I guess I just worry that with her not been able to have a 'normal' start to life it may have effected her social development.
Is this a phase that most babies go through?

Normal and totally developmentally appropriate. It shows she has a good bond to her primary carer.

My baby is 5 months, she does cry sometimes when I leave the room but for the most part she is okay. We have a jumperoo which she goes in while I do washing etc.. mat and toys on the floor for her to roll and play, and a door bouncer for when I’m in the kitchen doing bottles and things. I keep her moving round so she is entertained, and then I try and shower and do all the things for myself while she naps. She likes the high chair too with some finger foods keeps her occupied
