I’m at a loose end as to what to make for us as a family that my son might enjoy too. I know it’s ‘give them what you have’ we do but he hates all of it, and ends up not eating most nights.

If anyone has any suggestions of easy cheap recipes that have worked for your little ones please let me know!

What sort of things does he like and how old is he?

peaches36 · 05/08/2021 16:06

He’s 2.5. He likes beef, most veggies, fish, occasionally pasta. He’s not mega fussy but I’m just rubbish at thinking of new meals!

Cheese and tinned sweetcorn pureed and then used as a sauce for pasta. This is the only thing he’ll eat for breakfast; but he’s fine during other meals

Tortilla pizzas

Quesadillas of some sort - we liked mashed mixed beans with tomato purée and grated cheese. Quite quick to make and delicious.

Homemade chicken nuggets.
3 bowls -
Flour and optional pinch mixed herbs
Beaten egg
Scrunched up rice crispies or corn flakes

Cut chicken breast into nugget size pieces. Dunk each piece in each bowl (in the order I've listed them). Bake for 30 mins on 180.

Serve with ketchup and whatever carb and veg you think ds may eat!
