Haven holiday question!

Has anyone been to a haven site recently?

I keep seeing emails about booking swimming sessions but I go on the activities and there’s no swimming sessions?

The swimming slots are usually released to book a few days before you are due to arrive on the site.

The emails you have had should tell you a date and time that the swimming slots will be made available for you to book. They usually also contain a link to the online site for you to do the booking. They appear in the list of activities available on the date given.

Usually for a Friday arrival the slots are released on the Tuesday before.

I’d recommend booking them as soon as they are made available as they fill up fast in my experience.

When we travelled during the main covid restrictions you could only book 8 individual swimming sessions for the entire holiday, eg a family of 4 could only swim twice. This may have changed now, but worth checking before you book sessions.

We were there beginning of July. We were able to book 1 session each through My Haven and then whilst there we could book more, on the day or in advance. The same applied for booking tables in the Mash and Barrel and the Marina Bar for each meal time.

It was quite fiddly to be honest but we got the hang of it, it just meant being super organised.

I would also urge you to book as soon as possible as the swimming was often fully booked, this was before the kids broke up too. I don't know if this has changed in the last few weeks.

We are not long back the swimming sessions were released about a week or so before we arrived. They got booked up quickly.
We also found that it was worth checking everyday once you were there as slots often came available for the next day as people cancelled them if they had made other plans.

We are at Caister now and the booked 8 swimming slots before we arrived - released a week before? Scroll down the activity list and they're hidden away near the bottom. I don't understand why you can't book them on the (rubbish) app nor why your eating reservations appear on there but not your swimming/cycling etc - you get an email confirmation so I printed those off as didn't want to take phone to pool. Remember to take your Stay&Play pass and £1 for the locker or it's a bit of a mare.

Thank you everyone
