they certainly seem to be a lot like tots bots. HOWever. I have 2 and after a year the elastic at teh back seems to be getting a bit saggy and teh terry feels a bit threadbare . I don't think they have mistreated . They still work fine as nappies.YMMV
I also think they are abit narrow between teh legs and don't contain pooh very well. I prefer a fully flece lined nappy for keeping boys skin feeling dry.

thanks whats YMMV?

I think the quality of LL has improved more quite recently and totsbots has possibly got a little bit worse since they started making them in Turkey. So quality-wise there might not be too much in it but I suppose only time will tell.

One problem with the LL is that they only do a size 1 and 2 currently. If you have a long baby you might find the rise too low by 18 months like I did . Totsbots do a size 3 if you need it (extra expense though)

I'm assuming you have set your mind on aplix (velcro) fit nappies. If not, then an excellent alternative to totsbots is Bumbles. They are now of a very similar quality to totsbots and, in my experience, fit better and for longer - these will last up to potty training in most children I think. I think they only come in Nippa or Popper fit though. Nippa fit are excellent, a true bith to potty nappy if there is such a thing. Best part is they are pretty cheap. ohhh yes, and they dry quicker that LL and TB in my experience too.

I only know of one person who couldn't get to grips with them. I found them very easy to use (even on e wriggler) and they give the best fit which I like as it helps get through that chubby leg stage and then back to the skinny leg phase if you see what I mean.

Yeah - what is YMMV?????

NAB3littlemonkeys · 28/11/2007 17:24

I have and have found them great. that DS2 is out of day time nappies now. Selling them on if interested.

horsemadgal · 28/11/2007 17:27

I like them. Worked fine for DS and fit better than Tots.
I have some size 3. They made them briefly and discontinued them as they say the size 2's now fit longer. Shame as my son grew out of the size 2's before potty training. I'd hav eloved some bamboo ones as they are so soft and silky.

horsemadgal · 28/11/2007 17:28

Oh and their wraps are fine, but I prefer Motherease wraps.

coby · 28/11/2007 17:30

horsemadgal - did you get your size 3's direct from LL?? My friend has some seconds from ebay but we never saw them for sale through LL.

They have a good second hand value you know

sparklygothkat · 28/11/2007 17:31

I have little lambs nappies that I brought of 2 mnetters and some bamboo ones that I brought from ebay. They are size 1 and fit Callum lovely. They don't leak and the wraps are good too.

coby · 28/11/2007 17:31

got a size 2 LL bamboo, lovely but takes AGES to dry, but fab night nappy. The microfibre ones look interesting...there is a reason I am staying off ebay right now so NO ONE tempt me

sparklygothkat · 28/11/2007 17:36

oh yes the bamboo ones do take ages to dry..

jobekal · 28/11/2007 18:19

with tots bots i would have got size 2, but the sizes are different for littlelambs so size 1 prob wouldnt last him long but size 2 be too big?

OP posts:
coby · 28/11/2007 20:34

hmmm...not sure if they have changed their sizing recently as horsemadgal said. When I used them I moved from size 1 to size 2 without much trouble (some brands almost need a size 1.5 I've found). I think the only way you can find out is by trying each size out (maybe get one of each second hand). Sizing is tricky as babies come in so many different shapes. I think my DD2 was in her size 1s well past nine months as they have a good bit of stretch in them - but then she is on the thin side.

horsemadgal · 28/11/2007 21:44

Yes coby, they were only sold on eBay as far as I know and won't be doing them again.
The newer ones are just more stretchier I think.

coby · 28/11/2007 21:48

ahhhh, that explains it then. My size 2s are a little low on the rise so DD2 has builder's bum in hers.

My best buddy wants to go over to microfibre LL but she uses the ebay size 3's as her DD has the same problem as mine. Just wondering if the new size 2's will fit

horsemadgal · 28/11/2007 22:05

I'd say if the rise is short on her in the old ones the new ones won't be any different. I found they were just stretchier around the width.
The size 2's fitted DS at 3 but leaked out the top.

I want bamboo size 3's!!!

coby · 28/11/2007 22:14

Yes, that is where mine leaked - just out of the nappy as I used ultra reliable airflow wraps .

Size 3 bamboo would be cool - especially useful for overnight as the low rise thing gets worse if you boost them.

I'm sticking wtith my EHDNs though (unless MN crashes again - tend to find myself killing time on ebay and usednappies until it comes up again )

beckmo · 30/11/2007 17:10

I just bought a microfibre little lamb off ebay and I love it...sooo much better than my bulky fluffles. The microfibre is shorter and the nappy fits better. I also have a bamboo one which DD wore when very little and it was my favorite nappy for her. I was sceptical as they are cheaper than most nappies but with a Motherease wrap work brilliantly.

Oooohhh, how exciting! You're the first person I have heard of who has used the new LL MF nappy. Fluffles were way too bulky for us but I loved them otherwise, just with LL would do nippa fit .

Motherease wraps are very good aren't they??? No matter what nappy I use they always fot well over them and never leak. My LL wraps only really worked properly with LL - same with totsbots too.

My god, just read that back to myself - think I need to get out more
