So I dropped DC (3.5yo) off at exP’s house today to stay overnight. First time I’ve been and I’m concerned about the state of the house - there’s stuff all over like DIY stuff, wires, pretty untidy, rough floor so DC can’t take their shoes off etc. DC has been previously but only for the odd hour or two. I didn’t go upstairs so can’t comment on that. Maybe I’m being a bit precious but I am uncomfortable about DC staying there. Now if I say anything he’ll immediately get on the defensive, start an argument and it’ll feed his victim mentality narrative that I’m "always having a go" at him and so on… Any suggestions? Or should I leave it because he is DC’s father?
