Just wondering if anyone else's little one does this?

If I ask for a kiss, or can mummy have, or put him on a new toy or take him to the park he just shakes his head no.

I don't know whether he is just a little bit timid or if it is a development problem.

Is he displaying any other sign of meaning no? So if you take him to the park, what else does he do other than shake his head?

I don't think it's a development problem

I thought I was alone in this! My 15 month old thinks shaking his head at any question is just about the funniest thing ever.

I'd just say he's trying out a new form of communication! Not sure why it would be a development issue.

Haha my 15 month has just started doing this too. Must be a thing at this stage!

My 20 month old still does this although he says no as well now. We get no or a head shake for absolutely everything even when he means yes which gets quite confusing. He tends to say no louder when it means yes. No sign of a nod or the word yes.

Haha, thanks ladies! That's good to hear. Glad he's not the only one lol. I'm right there with you - the shakes for no every question is hilarious to him. Just hadn't seen any other kids do it as much is all. Love mumsnet! Haha
