9th month old, is this just a phase?

My son is being such hard work at the moment, he is just constantly whinging. He needs constant attention and even sometimes that isn't enough. He used to be quite happy sat down and playing with his toys but now he just arches his back and refuses to sit. Is this just a phase? He's currently going through a leap as well 🤷🏻‍♀️

My 8 month old is the same! They are going through a massive developmental leap at the moment alongside the start of separation anxiety. It's so hard isn't it.

Do you think he may be close to starting to crawl?

Mine always had a massive whingey period just before a big developmental leap. It's like he knew what he wanted to do and was getting frustrated at all his fruitless efforts.

It’s a phase, as usual. Miserable, but will be over soon. He’ll probably start crawling or cruising or something, and be all cheery again.
When mine went through these phases we had a lot of long walks in the pram, and trips to the baker etc. Just to give myself enough of a break to tolerate the grumpiness when we got home!

The mantra in my house: “it’s just a phase”.

18 months in and it’s been right every time

Everything is a phase! The good stuff as well as the bad stuff, unfortunately Grin Give it a few weeks and he’ll have changed again.
