Potty

I have no intention of potty training my 17 month old yet but he has become fascinated with watching us on the loo & is constantly pulling at his nappy to get it off, so I figured there’s no harm in getting a potty and just having it around for him to get used to/play with until he’s ready.

He’s my first so I’ve no idea what to get - any recommendations? I had a simple plastic bowl type thing in mind but I’ve just googled it and low and behold it’s yet another baby minefield for first time parents to navigate.

There is no harm at all in letting them sit on a potty if they're interested. Choose a nice secure potty, so they feel safe sitting on it.

I'd just go and pick a cheap one for a couple of quid from a supermarket. We had one for about 6 months before we trained, it was mostly used as a hat.

Yeah, I echo a cheapie from b&m or simillar. Depending on the layout of your house you may want to get a couple
