Moving a brilliant sleeper from cot to bed? Terrified!!

DS (2yo, just!) sleeps amazingly, goes down at 7.30 and gets up at 7.30, sometimes we'll hear him wake up at 6ish but he falls back asleep. The issue is he can climb out his cot, he still needs a nap and is a nightmare without them but hates them, every time I put him down he climbs out the cot. He's started climbing out the cot in the mornings now too, so I know it isn't safe anymore but my worry is his night time sleep and how much it'll be affected, I don't want to lose the good nights sleep we all currently get and I'm just picturing him getting out every 30 seconds, I know he can get out his cot but it's a lot more effort for him to do that than to just hop out of bed. Has anyone got any advice? I'm terrified! Blush

What about a sleeping bag? Would that stop him getting out? Our little ones sleep (2.5) was fine initially. Then 3 months later it was dreadful as he realised he could get out his bed, he was like a jack in the box. We had some hard times, but he's fine now.

I put a side on my sons cot bed and he didn't even realise he could get out of his bed for about a week! He was a brilliant sleeper and it never changed at all when he went from cot to bed. Hopefully it's the same for you
