DC has a genetic syndrome we’ve known about since before he was born. He’s one and is doing very well in everything but gross motor milestones as is hypotonic.
People make comments and I’m never sure what to say so I don’t say anything. I know we’re not quite there yet but we will need to decide when we talk about it with DC and if we tell other people.
I just wondered how others have approached this? I am erring on the side of making DC aware as early as possible and only telling others who need to know, eg teachers. But I don’t know - also guess it depends on how severe his problems are which really can’t be known at this stage.
