Teat dilema

Hi there wonder if anyone has any advice. A friend suggested using medium flow teats rather than slow to bottle feed my combo fed baby in the night. It really helped as she guzzled way more and slept longer chunks. However. Now she hates the boobs! Wanting only the bottle which is frustrating for me as I hadn't really wanted to stop breastfeeding. I'm trying to express as much and often as poss but it'd such a faff onto of bottle prep.ive tried going back to slow flow for a couple of days but she still hates the boob and wakes up more ar night as drinks less at night with the slownflow teats.
Hope that all makes sense.. any advice so so welcome x

It is recommended to use slow flow teats and paced feeding technique (have a google) when bottle feeding a baby who is also still breastfeeding. Babies need to work quite hard at the breast to get the milk, unfortunately many babies can develop a bottle preference because they enjoy getting the milk quickly for little work

Thanks so much I'm reading about that now:-)
Do you think there's anyway she can use the mediums at night to tank up...or do I need to be totally consistent with the slow? It was just so nice having 4 hour chunks of sleep again! Any idea how long it will take her to forget about the faster flow? This is day 3...

I wouldn't recommend using the faster flow at night - consistency is usually best with these things
She will still take the same amount of milk if she wants it with the slower teat, it just takes longer (which is a killer night I know). Feeding more slowly allows her to recognise when she is full rather than the faster milk flow which she may finish before knowing she is full. Same as when we eat really fast

Thank you! The problem I have is that she snacks...so with the med flow I can give her 200ml at 11pm and 200ml at 3am then she goes through till 7. With the slow I seem to be up every hour and a half giving her 100ml. Should I try and leave her to push through so she's hungry? So annoying as just as I thought I'd cracked the sleeping the feeding becomes a problem 😴
