MenB vaccine side effects

My daughter is booked in for her MenB vaccine this afternoon. She is already a rather unsettled baby who cries a lot due to reflux & colic. I'm really nervous incase the jag makes her even more irritable. What is everyone's experience with their babies after this specific vaccine?

She's also on Omeprazole for her reflux so not sure if I can even give her baby paracetamol before or after her jag🤔

Both mine had it but as teens. We paid privately as my dad almost died of Men B in his 50s! Very rare

They had low grade fever and tired but I gave them a paracetamol as soon as we got home. Second jabs they were better.

Lots of skin to skin after will help, & calpol for any temp. Only 3 of my 5 were eligible as babies & it worked wonders to keep them settled.

Should I maybe wait until she is older then? And the colic / reflux has passed? I'm not 100% keen on giving her any vaccines to be honest. I was given none and have been perfectly healthy all my life.

I wouldn't wait. The peak years are 0-5 and then 15-24 to get men b

If your going to do it she will benefit most from having it young

It wasn't in the schedule when mine were babies or they would have had it then too.

My son is 17 weeks so he had the first and second dose of Men B. First one at 8 weeks he was irritable and about 5 hours of screaming later in the day. Second dose he had a terrible fever with temp of 39 degrees. Calpol did nothing to touch it, however ibuprofen did eventually bring it down. I called 111 when he had the fever as I didn't know what to do - he was hot and whimpering. It was awful 😞 but I know it's better than him actually getting any of the viruses/illnesses they cause.

3 separate doses of paracetamol are recommended after MenB as it can cause fever
